The Legal Engineering Specialist will be responsible for maintaining and developing automated documents, processes and other industrial scale applications of legal understanding. This role will report to the Change Manager.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop processes for maintaining automated documents and procedures across multiple platforms, systems, and practice areas
  • Create, maintain, and update such systems in line with changes in law and operational requirements
  • Work as part of a broader software development and engineering team to develop and implement both quality assurance and quality control processes for automated outcomes in legal systems  
  • Effectively, promptly, and proactively resolve automation/legal engineering issues and drive resolution in collaboration with the product team, the engineering team, and legal practitioners as well as other departments within the firm  
  • Evaluate and escalate any identified operational issues or concerns to the appropriate team members
  • Other responsibilities as assigned


Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:  

  • Minimum of five years of experience in automation of legal documents/processes
  • Substantive knowledge in at least one of the underlying legal fields of corporate law, securities law, employment law, licensing, or contracts is highly desired
  • Experience working with attorneys, legal processes, legal operations, or SaaS solutions for the legal sector are strongly preferred
  • Self-starter with the ability to work effectively in a busy, dynamic, and collaborative work environment
  • Strong relationship building, problem-solving, organization, and planning skills
  • Juris Doctorate degree preferred

This position may be filled in Colorado. Pursuant to the Colorado Equal Pay For Equal Work Act, the compensation range specific to this role if based in CO is $100,000 to $130,000 depending on skill set and experience.
