Legal Tech Ecosystem Strategist

Reynen Court is seeking an energetic and entrepreneurial team member to play a key role in the strategic growth of its legal technology ecosystem. Reporting directly to Reynen Court’s Head of Strategy, the new Ecosystem Strategist will help forge critical relationships with both the buyers (i.e., the law firm and corporate legal department platform users) and sellers (i.e., the legal tech vendors) participating in the Reynen Court marketplace to deeply understand the unmet technology needs of firms and in-house departments and then source, shepherd, and champion the technologies that can drive meaningful change.
Ideal candidates will (a) be passionate and knowledgeable about the legal technology sector, with a demonstrable connection to the legal market and experience driving technological innovation (b) thrive in a fast-moving, high-responsibility environment of a growing startup where they will be asked to flex to cover a wide variety of tasks, will be expected to run key conversations with critical stakeholders, and will need to generate a significant volume of creative and polished work product at high velocity and (c) posses a strong, decisive commercial mind, demonstrating self-reliant business judgment and effective salesmanship.
Candidate must posses meaningful legal tech domain expertise, and we will give strong preference to candidates who:
- Are currently (or who can, once offices safely reopen, commit to immediately be) in New York City;
- Have worked in a global or national law firm or in the in-house/legal ops function of a sizeable company; and
- Can demonstrate a strong grasp of the architecture and components of cloud computing technology and/or have significant experience navigating the enterprise technology landscape.
