Lumose Marketplace is an online marketplace where lawyers go to discover and compare legal software available to them. It provides unbiased reviews of each vendor so they can discover and choose the best tools for their law firm in less time and with less headache. We are the resource for small law firms going through the massive digital transformation that the legal industry is at the beginning of.

We are an early stage start-up with initial traction, looking to narrow down on a scalable client acquisition strategy in the coming months. This business development role will entail marketing and business development tasks. You will work closely with a marketing intern and our legal-tech specialist to ensure weekly marketing initiatives are delivered including email newsletters, LinkedIn posts, SEO optimized blog posts, and organize video and written content creation. You will also direct our software developer to optimize the forms on our website to convert more visitors into paid subscribers.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop an understanding of the legal industry.
  • Design, execute, and monitor marketing programs to engage and influence law firms.
  • Manage a marketing intern and assign them daily tasks towards key marketing KPI’s.
  • Use marketing automation platforms to optimize lead generation and lead nurturing processes through email campaigns, content marketing, and social media channels.
  • Convert targeted prospects through calls to action, landing pages, and content lead magnets.
  • Analyze program performance and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Source and hire outsourced marketing labour when possible such as hiring copywriters.
  • Create stand-out product positioning, messaging, and strategies that differentiate Lumose Marketplace to lawyers.
  • Test and iterate marketing strategies to gain initial traction from lawyers and discover what will be the most profitable acquisition strategy to invest the majority of the businesses resources in.
  • Setup marketing analytics to enable us to measure our conversion rates and gaps in details.
  • Target new accounts while being confident, articulate, and sensitive to the prospects’ needs while developing relationships.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ***Must be graduated from a bachelors degree from a Canadian university.
  • Knowledge of content marketing funnels and techniques to generate inbound leads.
  • Knowledge of marketing automation techniques such as lead nurturing, SEO and website conversion forms/funnels.
  • Experience copywriting or developing marketing messages.
  • Knowledge of key marketing KPI’s to measure success with.

Serious Bonus Points For:

  • Experience in B2B SaaS marketing.
  • Experience in the legal or legal-tech industry.
  • Passion for digital marketing and have experience working in this field.
