With the ongoing growth of digital marketing there is a growing need to ensure content complies with relevant laws, policies, and regulations. Businesses are being forced to keep up with rapid regulatory changes and face greater risk exposure if content is not being reviewed effectively.

Red Marker has changed the way legal risk detection for digital content is being delivered. Focusing on compliance outcomes and cost optimisation, our Software as a Service platform enables real-time probabilistic risk identification in web content using machine learning rules and natural language processing.

This Position

We’re looking for a Business Development Manager who will lead the sales of our solutions which are software as a service (SaaS) that automates the review of digital marketing against regulatory and business rules.

Based in New York, you will be comfortable in an "all hands-on deck" environment, able to operate and coordinate autonomously and across workstreams, and can thrive in a LegalTech culture. This role is for a high achiever who is focused on client acquisition and client development and takes initiative to find the most optimal solution to achieve the outcomes required for the business. A keen sense of ownership, quality, the customer, speedy execution, and hustle is a must.

What You’ll Be Doing

 Drive the Sales Pipeline to Revenue: Develop and manage the pipeline with a variety of opportunity and account sizes, with clients directly. Own the client and the sale until revenue is realised.

 Deliver growth: Demonstrated ability to build a growth plan and execute on that through closing deals with clients and realising revenue quickly.

 Client management: Own and develop the relationships with the clients, setting expectations and delivering on them.

 Stakeholder management: Build and foster strong relationships with clients, Implementation Consultants, Engineering Teams and Product Teams to ensure consistent delivery against sales strategy and resolution of issues that arise in a timely manner.

 Contribute to Business Outcomes: Significant contribution to the growth of Red Marker’s products through driving strong client sales in the US.

Required Skills & Experience

 Proven record in selling LegalTech/RegTech enterprise software solutions to a range of industries.

 A comprehensive understanding of sales techniques and marketing principles.

 Experience in Information Technology, Software Solutions, LegalTech

 Qualifications and/or training in sales and marketing essential (e.g. Millar Heiman)

 An understanding of IT with experience in selling solutions at the enterprise level, preferably with Software as a Service exposure, directly.

 High level of integrity.

 Ability to work autonomously

 Ability to set and execute both long- and short-term goals

 Travel (mainly domestic) may be required (trade shows and clients).

 Comfortable in high level and the detail of doing

Desirable Skills & Experience

 Interested in working at the intersection of machine learning and legal/regulatory compliance

 Interested in joining a successful team who have pioneered the application of machine learning to regulations

 Energetic, self-directed leader, attention to detail

 Technically literate, able to communicate with advance concepts to clients.

 Well organised, excellent client-facing communication skills and experience. Able to run meetings with diverse client stakeholder groups.

 Excellent verbal and written communication and documentation skills

 Willing to work flexibly in an innovative rapid growth business

 Experience in financial services, legal, compliance, and/or risk industries.
