We are currently seeking a Legal Operations Manager to provide contract support across all teams and to scale our legal operations.

As Legal Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the design and implementation of legal solutions to support teams with structuring and negotiating contracts. You will partner closely with business and technology teams related to art and commercial transactions, providing training and legal resources to impart sound legal judgment across the business. You have immaculate attention to detail and will be responsible for the process design and implementation of legal workflows. This is an exciting opportunity for a legal professional to scale their skill set with a growing business.

What You’ll Do:

  • Structure, draft, and negotiate art purchase and sale agreements, online auction conditions of sale, advisory agreements and other art related agreements.
  • Structure, draft, and negotiate a variety of commercial and intellectual property agreements, ranging from standard contracts to complex strategic partnerships critical to the company
  • Design efficient and scalable legal workflows
  • Build contract processes, playbooks, and clause libraries
  • Draft and operationalize terms of use, privacy policies and practices, and disclosures for product offerings
  • Develop legal training programs

  • Contract lifecycle management and/or legal operations experience
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience in an AmLaw 100 law firm and/or prior in-house legal experience
  • Strong commercial negotiation and drafting skills
  • Strict attention to detail and ability to drive operational excellence
  • Ability to effectively communicate to non-legal stakeholders
  • Flexibility necessary to thrive at an ambitious, dynamic company
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple critical projects, working independently and under tight deadlines
  • Experience with legal issues related to e-commerce, marketplace or digital transactions
  • Experience with legal issues related to art transactions and the art market such as experience representing art dealers, galleries, collectors or auction houses

The salary range for this role is $80,000-$120,000 annually. Artsy is committed to equitable compensation practices, and your offer will depend on the relevant experience and skillset you bring to the team.
