Under the direction of the Chief Knowledge & Innovation Officer, the Sr. Electronic Services & Systems Manager (“Sr. ESSM”) administers all activities related to various resource management platforms/tools aimed at surfacing the Firm’s knowledge assets to lawyers and other firm personnel. The Sr. ESSM directs all relates tasks involved in the lifecycle of print and electronic resources from onboarding, to renewal and cancellation. The Sr. ESSM oversees the day-to-day operations of the Resource Services team.


  • Manages the workflow for all electronic resources ensuring that these knowledge assets are accessible to the Firm’s lawyers, practice groups, and other firm personnel.
  • Supervises the day-to-day operations of the Resource Services team.
  • Administers and maintains the Firm’s Integrated Library System (i.e. SydneyPlus).
  • Oversees certain knowledge delivery platforms including ResourceHub, Vable, and Team SharePoint Site.
  • Oversees mobile research applications including ResearchHub, WSJ, NYT, Lexis and Westlaw as well as other mobile research-related issues such as VPN and Citrix.
  • Oversees the firm’s electronic resource management tool (Research Monitor).
  • Oversees the firm’s research request tracking application (Quest).
  • Assist in implementing new resource management technologies.
  • Works with the Knowledge & Innovation team to promote and provide access to the Firm’s electronic resources.
  • Conducts periodic reporting related to usage or other metrics concerning the Firm’s electronic resource collection.
  • Maintains contract-related correspondence and documentation in the firm’s contract management system
  • Assists in other departmental priorities and special projects as needed for the efficient functioning of the team.


Required: M.L.S or MLIS or equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum of 5 years’ work experience in resource management in a law firm setting. Preferred: A minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.

  • Demonstrated competencies in word processing, spreadsheet, database, and other software applications
  • Learning agility and adaptability to change while staying positive and upbeat.

Attendance Requirements: Online during normal business hours and available when necessary before or after normal working in order to meet the demands of the job and the needs of the firm. Travel Requirements: Ability to work onsite as required. Fully remote the month of August, Thanksgiving week and last two weeks of December.
