About Jurata

With Jurata, we are democratizing access to legal advice. To this end, we are building a legal one-stop shop for private individuals and SMEs that covers every step on the way from the emergence of a legal problem to its solution. Today, people seeking legal advice can already use Jurata to compare and contact around 1,200 Swiss lawyers. But that is just the beginning. We are currently working on automating the processing of simple cases and the creation of legal documents. In this way, we want to enable people seeking legal advice to obtain cost-effective solutions to their legal challenges. At the same time, we are relieving lawyers of repetitive, legally uninteresting work so that they can concentrate on those activities in which they are unbeatable: analyzing complex cases and providing individual, high-quality legal advice.

Your role

During your legal engineering internship, you will work intensively as part of our interdisciplinary team on identifying legal cases and documents that can be automated successfully. Based on a precise examination of the respective legal foundations, we design and implement prototypes in weekly sprints, validate them on the market and develop them further into fully working legal products. Depending on your interests, there is also the possibility to get involved in other tasks (market analysis, user research, marketing, etc.).

About you

You are currently completing the last year of your bachelor's degree or your master's degree at a Swiss law, business, or engineering school, and have achieved convincing academic results so far. You are passionate about legal tech and want to actively shape the future of the legal market. You have a certain affinity for tech and ideally you are familiar with terms like if/else statement, for loop, or array. However, programming knowledge is not a mandatory prerequisite - a large amount of curiosity and the willingness to learn a lot of new things within short time is.

What we offer

You will get the opportunity to actively contribute to a dynamic startup and gain hands-on experience in the field of legal tech during a paid internship of 6-8 weeks (summer 2021, flexible timing). A mix between remote work and physical presence (Zurich) as well as flexible working hours give you great freedom. In case of a successful collaboration, there is the possibility of a permanent position.

Does this sound interesting to you? Then send us a short motivational email with your CV and academic record to luca.fabian@jurata.ch. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us. We look forward to hearing from you!
